The Lich King
Here is my instructional video for killing The Lich King, hopefully it will be of some help to you when you face this encounter!
Watching the video is the most useful way to get the jist of this fight, however I have done a very quick summary of each phase below to help you remember after you’ve watched the video.
Phase 1:
The raid forms a triangle with one point being the tank, the Lich King, the adds, and the melee. The second point of the triangle is the off tank and the shambling horrors, and the third point of the triangle is the ranged and healers. When someone gets Necrotic Plague, they need to run over to the shambling horror and have it cleansed within 5 seconds.
Unless you have a disc priest raid-shielding, make sure the entire raid is blanket with HoTs before every Infest cast.
Transition 1:
Run to the edge. The off tank should stay away from the raid until the Shambling Horror dies of disease. Each target for Raging Spirit should run next to a tank, so the tank can pickup the spirit as it spawns. Someone should be assigned to killing frost orbs. The raid should stay spread out to minimize raid damage. DPS is on the Raging Spirits.
Phase 2:
Stack up slightly off center for Val’kyrs. Once they choose a target, spread out for Defile. Repeat. Also, assign stun order for the Val’kyrs to ensure they are slowed enough to be killed before they drop their victims.
Continue with HoTs for Infest
Transition 2:
Same as transition one, only there are now four raging spirits instead of three. Blow heroism/blood lust.
Phase 3:
Spread out. Kill and kite vial spirits. Heal though Harvest Soul. If you are teleported to Frostmourn, interrupt the Spirit Warden (Bash or War Stomp) and heal King Terenas to full.
Continue with HoTs for Infest

Angela, would you mind posting briefly, or taking a short video of your healbot setup?
I’m using it myself but struggling to get a ‘good’ setup that is letting me heal and not take my eyes off raid warnings and the fight itself!

Angela, disregard my post above…i browsed some links and read good info on HealingCouncil where you answered the questions i had.
Did you guys 2 heal or 3 heal this? If you 2 healed, did you save innervate for yourself or give it to another healer?
We used three healers for this. Although I’m pretty sure it could be 2 healed, it was nice having three since our pali got sucked into frostmourne every single time I think
Innervate… I don’t remember honestly… it varies so much by each of our attempts, I probably did both at one point in the fight or another, 3 min CD and 15 min fight!
I was wondering because we two healed this, and I ended up having to give all my innervates to the shaman. There were a few times where I was worried I’d run dry, but it worked out pretty well. We should probably try to 3 heal this next time. Would take so much stress off of the healers. Thanks for the quick reply!
Nice video. I have yet to kill LK on my tree. I’ve been reading some posts indicating that Druids’ hots might be quite weak against Infest damage, also lack of burst/cd’s make trees the least wanted healing class for this encounter and many guilds bench them at least for hard modes, this made me sad obviously. What’s your impression/feeling when you healed this, could you have healed/easily handled Infest without a disc priest?

I’m playing a resto druid as well. My guild and I have just hit Lich King, and we keep getting wtfpwnd after phase 1.5 ends. Now I’m pretty sure it’s not the healing, cause we’re all pumping out a lot of healing, but just to make sure.. Which cycle do you use when raid healing during and possibly the second phase 1.5 ends?
