How I’m spending my Emblems of Frost
I’m pretty excited because I should get my four piece this Tuesday! I’m hoping the jumping rejuvenation turns out to be a really good thing, but I guess all the theory crafting in the world doesn’t do as much good as seeing it in action during one night of raiding!
I have to say, I was a little disappointed that I ended up exchanging a lot of haste for crit by upgrading from my t9 to t10. As you know, right now haste is really important, and crit is sorta… well sorta blah I guess.
That being said, I still wanted four piece so my first four purchases were/are/will be:
Lasherweave Legplates
Lasherweave Pauldrons
Lasherweave Helmet
Lasherweave Gauntlets
Now this is where things get… shall we say… not thrilling. Going from 258 gear to 264 gear is well… technically an upgrade… but it’s such a trivial one it just seems not so worth getting excited about. I know I know, all the little upgrades add up, and you should do it, etc etc… it’s just… you know… not exciting. Plus, where I go from here is also dependent on drops. Regardless of drops I want four piece, but the rest is up in the air.
I’ll end up getting Vestments of Spruce and Fir over the Lasherweave Robes for the haste. Not that I probably wont pickup the t10 robe too eventually, cuz… well.. I collect sets!
I think that the cloth belt Circle of Ossus completely pwns the leather belt Belt of Petrified Ivy, so I’ll be getting the cloth one.
I’ll probably pickup Idol of the Black Willow too, but as its 256 spell power (32×8) and my current Idol of Flaring Growth is 234 and is always up… its not an amazing upgrade either.
Trinkets… hum… Purified Lunar Dust… seems a lot like my Solace of the Defeated only with *less* spell power… something is wrong here!
The cloaks don’t interest me at all…. you can ether go with spirt + crit on the Volde’s Cloak of the Night Sky, or go with mp5 and haste on Drape of the Violet Tower… No Thanks! I’ll stick with my better itemized Shawl of the Refreshing Winds for the time being.
So yeah… badges… not thrilled 
Fishing Fun!
In other news, I am now SALTY ANGELA Yep, I won the Northrend fishing contest yesterday! It was my third week of trying, so not so bad. I’ve had all of those other fishing achievements for ages, I dono why I didn’t try the tourney sooner… oh well! I picked up a Dread Pirate Ring that I sent to an alt for that nifty 5% to experience.

Wow I really hadn’t looked at the other stuff that the frost vendor in Dalaran sold yet, I almost have my 4 piece set too and I’m super excited! I did spend some emblems on the tier chest piece though and was unaware of the one sold in dal, I can honestly say I’m upset with myself for not checking that out XD.
The only thing I disagree with really is the trinkets, I think the new Idol, this new one says it stacks and says nothing about it ever going away, where as the other has a chance to proc, then goes away for a while. This one has a bit more spellpower and is constantly up. What do you think?
The new idol takes a few casts to stack up and last 15 seconds, the old one only last 9 seconds but procs frequently and doesn’t have an internal cooldown, so it is literally always up too… so I dono, I mean the new one is a slight upgrade, just not anything I’m to jazzed about *shrug* I’m sure we’ll all end up with it in the end.
That ring is hot.
Good news angela you wont’ have to go cloth belt at all, I’ve been comparing belts and found one that has the exact same stats as that cloth one but is leather, and a drop, so no frost spent at all. http://www.wowhead.com/?item=50069
I unlike you have done thing in reverse and brought saronites for haste boots + haste belt first. I also have one piece of tier 10.

Arria – Yeah that belt is nice, and I’d defiantly take it if it drops. Although a little part of me doesn’t want it to drop, so I can keep my DKP for the heroic pieces!
Rewind- I completed my 4 piece last night in our 25 man run, and I’ve had a look at all the logs from our 10 man run that happened later that night. I want to see it in action in 25 man too before I jump to any conclusions about it… I’ll be making a post probably on Thursday about it, or maybe super late tonight if I can’t sleep!

Hopefully the numbers are good but if they’re not…mmm heroic vesion of tier 9 might have to be something Im aiming for.
I am surprised you haven’t gotten [Greatcloak of the Turned Champion] off of Saurfang. It so awesome! Plus have you compared the mp5 from [Purified Lunar Dust] to your 245 solace trinket? I’ve heard Lunar Dust is like 60 mp5. Would love to hear your thoughts on that.
That cloak has dropped a couple of times but I haven’t bid *yet* because mine is 258 and at the time I was hording DKP for upgraded tier
As far as Lunar Dust is concerned… I know they upped the SP on it, so that’s good. I kinda like the always up stacks better than the spiky proc mana, but I suppose that won’t be that bad. Everyone on WoWhead is saying its actually outputting between 60-75 m/5, while the 245 solace is giving me 128.
If you need the extra 29 SP then maybe, but I’ve always been more of a regen person than a spell power stacker so I don’t think I’ll be getting it
Interesting, I guess Im gonna have to petition the guild to start running TOGC again. I’ve been a little mana short on fights lately so the extra mp5 would help. Whats a healer without mana, huh.
