Well it’s been less than 24 hours since I first logged in to 3.3, but here are my early impressions  

Icecrown Citadel- Ok I mentioned this last night, but I’ll just reiterate…. its sorta…. easy.  Ok, I know that the hard mode won’t be as easy, and that’s great.  But you know, when you can come in and easily down everything the first night, it doesn’t really have that challenging feeling that new content should, you know what I mean?    Not that I want to wipe, nobody does, but… a challenge would be nice, right?  The hardest boss was the buggy elevator that kept teleporting us up 1 by 1 to die till we all zoned out.  *nods* Yup, I’m not even kidding

Ashen Band of Wisdom – Ok, if I’m not mistaken all of our humans had enough rep to get this after the 4 bosses on 25, the the rest of us certainly were up to friendly by the end of 10 mans.  Ok, so its an (essentially) free epic ring, not to bad, upgrades with rep like the old Karazhan ones did.  But you know what really bugs me… I want spirit!  No really, if I get spirit, I get hit (well duh I don’t want that) or I settle for M/5.  Would it kill them to have a nice spirit ring without hit for trees and priests, or even DPS who don’t need hit?  QQ

Rocket Packs, Not for the Flammable -  The rocket packs on the boat fight were novel I guess… but you know what’s weird.  A bear (or cat) can manage to operate a rocket pack fine.  I won’t mention where it looks like they’ve shoved the rocket pack, you can shape shift yourself if you want to be disturbed.  But a tree, with finger like branches, can’t do it  Nope, we shape shift out if ever time we blast off.  I guess trees are too flammable to take the risk!  

ZOMG Badges - Obviously we can get badges every week from doing ICC.  You can also get badges from doing the weekly raid quest, doing a “random” dungeon (daily) and by completing the initial quest line in the three new instances.  

LFG is… um… - My warlock friend and I braved the new LFG system… or should I say the “Dungeon Finder” (/df if you wanted to know) and it was… an experience.  We got though it OK, but we were partied with a few… shall we say… players of a lower quality than we are accustom to.  I’m not an elitist bitch or anything but when well geared DPS gets stuck with a “just turned 80” tank, it can get messy.  How many more PUGs do I need for the little dog… /sigh

T10 Ugly but Leet? – OK, honestly, I don’t know for sure that it’s leet.  I’m very excited to see the proc in action  As I did with my T8 –> T9 transition, I’ll be putting on 1 piece, and then holding them till I get 4, so I go from one 4 piece bonus to another.  But I have to say… seriously, that helm is ghastly.  I hider for sure!  I’m not so keen on the Little Shop of Horrors style shoulders either if we’re being honest.  Anyway, stats wise… it looks like the stats on the badge buyable version of T10 are comparable or slightly better than the stats on the T9 trophy+badge version.  First you buy the badge version of T10, and then use that piece along with a Vanquisher’s Mark of Sanctification to upgrade it to the next level.  Guess what… I have a Vanquisher’s Mark of Sanctification already! Cool right?!?!  Sorry… I just had to tell someone I figure I’ll have enough badges to cash it in already next Tuesday!

Glyph of Rapid Rejuvenation – I’ve mentioned before I think this is more of a 10 man/ 5 man thing.  I tried it last night in my 5 man dungeon finder experience, and with my tiny 344 haste it took Rejuvenation form being 18 seconds to 14 seconds.  As of later today (when I get around to respecing) I’ll have two different resto specs More on that in days to come I guess…

Gift of the Earthmother – Well, that made a difference.  I realize that it only changed my global cool down by a fraction of a second, but its very noticeable.  I always just knew when to click… and now I don’t.  I need to re-attune my brain to my new GCD I think!  On the other hand, when heroism was up I was regrowthing like a crazy person!  Soooo fast

Hurry up and Wait - Looks like we’ll get four more weeks of these bosses before any more open up.  I guess that gets us past the holiday season…  hum.  /TapsFoot.  Ok, I guess I don’t hate the gated system… I guess
